> Dr. Kodjo Adabra (Languages and Literatures) and Dr. Beth McCoy (English) are excited in hopes that you might join us this May for a transformative study abroad in Dakar, Senegal! We invite you to the program information session on Monday, November 14, 7-8 p.m., Welles 210.

> Right now, though, we’d like to highlight a few things:
>
> • The Dakar program runs for four weeks (May 19-June 18), which leaves you more room for summer jobs, classes, and other experiences than six-week programs do.
>
> • To qualify for summer financial aid, you may take a 2-credit directed study with Dr. Adabra or Dr. McCoy during the second summer session.
>
> • The program provides you three (3) meals a day, a host family experience, and a personal cellphone with a local number to keep.
>
> • Dakar is a vibrant city on the Atlantic--you’ll take classes just a few steps from the ocean!
>
> • You’ll experience three weekend excursions and several weekday cultural activities.
>
> • Although participants can elect to receive FREN or ENGL credits, the program welcomes you from ANY major! Please share this information with students across the college who may be interested in a summer program on the African continent.
>
> If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to let Dr. McCoy (mccoy at geneseo.edu <mailto:mccoy at geneseo.edu>) or Dr. Adabra (adabra at geneseo.edu <mailto:adabra at geneseo.edu>) know. We look forward to seeing you in November!
