"I Am Not Your Negro" Nominated for Best Doc!

NBPC-supported film "I Am Not Your Negro" has been nominated for a
2017 *Academy
Award for Best Documentary*. Crafted from James Baldwin's uncompleted last
manuscript, Raoul Peck's film combines arresting visuals and Baldwin's
writings for an unforgettable commentary on the past -- and future -- of
U.S. race relations. Congrats to the "I Am Not Your Negro" team!

The documentary is one of a record-breaking number of black films nominated
this year, including "Fences" and "Moonlight" (nominated for Best Picture),
and Ava DuVernay's "13th" (also nominated for Best Doc).
