*London, Sugar & Slavery 10 years on*

A new free display, *London, Sugar & Slavery: 10 Years
<http://e-museumoflondon.org.uk/3BMS-H86J-4A28G8-8VE6P-1/c.aspx>*, opens
today at the Museum of London Docklands reflecting upon the impact
that our *London,
Sugar & Slavery*
<http://e-museumoflondon.org.uk/3BMS-H86J-4A28G8-8TVJ9-1/c.aspx> gallery
has had on visitors over the last decade and highlighting some of the
thousands of comments they've left behind.

The gallery – which is the only permanent exhibition to solely examine
London's involvement in transatlantic slavery – opened in 2007 to mark the
200th anniversary of the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act. If you're not
one of the 2 million visitors, including 250,000 school pupils, to visit
this thought-provoking gallery, then now is the time to challenge what you
think you know about the transatlantic slave trade and be touched by the
real objects, personal stories and vibrant art and music that have left
their legacy on the capital today.
