Organizers Betty Garman Robinson and Dominic Moulden will draw on their extensive experiences in working for real and transformative change (not just tinkering with the existing system) in working with student activists. Robinson began her activist work as a college student, later joining SNCC (the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee), <https://snccdigital.org/people/betty-garman-robinson/> the organization of young people that spearheaded organizing in the Deep South during the Civil Rights Movement. This experience helped shape her subsequent experiences as she has remained active and committed to working for justice. Her current work is with Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), calling white people in to work for racial justice. Moulden has extensive experience in community organizing and affordable housing development <http://nyf.org/balm-in-gilead/dominic-moulden/>. He has been the Resource Organizer for Organizing Neighborhood Equity – ONE DC <http://www.onedconline.org/> (and its predecessor Manna Community Development Corporation) since 1997. Throughout his career, Moulden has led programs designed to encourage democratic social and economic development in the Shaw neighborhood of Northwest, DC. For more about Moulden’s work, see here. <http://shelterforce.org/2004/05/01/dominic-moulden/>
