[Blackstudies-l] the Annual Black Studies Student Essay Award: Calls for Submissions by April 17th

Please encourage your students to submit their work.



BLACK STUDIES is now accepting submissions for the Annual Black Studies
Student Essay Award in the following categories:

   1. Best Critical/Analytical Essay
   2. Best Research Paper
   3. Best Creative Writing


 The aim of the award is to recognize outstanding undergraduate scholarship
in the field of Black Studies writing.  A $50 award for the top essay in
each category will be awarded at the end-of-year Black Studies Picnic (date
and place TBA).  Submissions will be judged on the basis of content,
argument, organization, relevance, intellectual rigor and/or creativity.



The form below must accompany every submission.   *Submission deadline is
April 17th*.
