Virtual events continue; live ones resume

The Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County hosts a lecture titled
"Charlotte "Lottie" Wilson: Artist, Activist, and the National Association
of Colored Women" at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, online. Cynthia Hawkins,
director of Brodie Hall's Lederer and Bridge galleries at the State
University College at Geneseo, will present. To register for the program

Little Couch Concerts ? a virtual fundraising series for The Little
Theatre, dedicated to the late Jack Garner ?debuts at 7 p.m. Sunday, July
26, at youtube.com/ thelittletheatre. Fifteen musicians, who have performed
at The Little Cafe and/or as part of The Little Concert Series, will
perform. Scheduled performers are: Joe Crookston, Debbie Kendrick, Paisley
Fields, Connie Deming, Sarah Eide, Benny Bleu, Kinloch Nelson, Heather
Taylor, Tyler Westcott, Tasty Parker, the Laura Dubin Duo, Bob Sneider with
Andrew Williams, and Kristen Shiner McGuire with David McGuire. Garner, a
longtime Rochester arts journalist and film critic who died on July 5, had
been slated to host the Little Couch Concerts.

Explore the literary world of the 1800s during Novel Weekend at the Genesee
Country Village and Museum.

On Aug. 1 and 2, each section of the Historic Village will represent a
19th-century book by Louisa May Alcott, Lewis Carroll or Laura Ingalls
Wilder. Activities will include games, dancing, a Mad Hatter Tea Party and
learning about chores on the Wilders' frontier farm.

Rochester native Sally Valentine will share her young adult mystery novels,
one of which is set partly at the museum. Tickets cost $18 for adults, $15
for seniors and students, $12 for children 3 to 12 and free to younger
children and museum members. Advance tickets cost $2 less and must be
purchased by 5 p.m.
