Our secretary shared this information with the English Department:
Events of the 2020 Presidential election have revealed this stark truth:
our country's democracy is fractured. On Thurs., Feb. 25, 7 pm, Dr. Carol
Anderson will participate in a moderated discussion tracing the evolution
of voter suppression tactics used to disenfranchise generations of Black
Americans and disable true democracy.

Dr. Anderson is the Charles Howard Candler Professor of African American
Studies at Emory University and the recipient of multiple awards for her
teaching and research. A New York Times Bestselling author, she has won the
National Book Critics Circle Award, as well as numerous other prestigious
accolades. To join this vital conversation on one of the most serious
issues in American politics, please register today: https://bit.ly/3qZXevF
