Dr. Kevin Gannon, Professor of History, Director of the Center for
Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Grand View University, leads a
discussion of Ava DuVernay's documentary film "13th". Dr. Gannon appears in
this film that explores the history of racial inequality in the United
States, focusing on the fact that the nation's prisons are
disproportionately filled with African-Americans.
