[GIST-L] Hathi Trust add-on

I wondered the same thing about an update.  There was a Microsoft update to our computers on Tuesday.  The Amazon error started yesterday for us.  The Hathi Trust one started before that Tuesday update.

We are having intermittent problems with the delivered Amazon add-on as well. That one is supported by Atlas, since they wrote it. I guess I could open a ticket with OCLC in that case. I wonder if this is a result of an IE security update? I can't pin the start of the errors to a timeline because the users are kind of vague about when they started.

Hi Michael,

Yes, we are having this trouble too.  Also, as of today we are getting a similar error for the Amazon addon.  We checked the settings in the Advanced tab of the Internet Options section of IE and the "display script errors" is not selected.  I disabled the addon for our staff with short fuses.

Hello GIST list,
One of our ILL staff has  started getting an IE script error from hathitrust.org when he opens a request for a book in either "Awaiting Unfilled Processing" or  "Request Unclaimed." He doesn't get that message when we disable the Hathi Trust add-on. I attached a screenshot of the error message, hoping the listserv software will let it through.

Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a workaround for it besides clicking through the error each time?
