Hello Medievalists,

The following items are of note for this week:

A] Further Family Fun Night Results

B] Halloween Meeting- October 31, 2010

C] Current List of Approved SCA Heavy Combat/Historic Fencing Participants...

D] Items of Club Business Requiring Resolution

A] Further Family Fun Night Results

See the e- mail forwarded from the gmc at geneseo.edu e- mail address
composed by Dr. Jim Allen entitled "[Fwd: Family Fun Night Thanks!]",
which was sent to the full Club membership on Friday, October 29, 2010,
for the enthusiastic and grateful praise from the Geneseo community that
corroborates the statements made within item A of the last Proceedings
(those corresponding to the date of October 23, 2010).

B] At our meeting this Sunday, the Club will focus on culinary matters
with historical relevance to the medieval period. Since Associate Members
Robin and Bob Flood will be in attendance to assist in the facilitation of
this activity, and since they are the chief providers of equipment loaned
to the Club, those interested in SCA Heavy Combat may expect the
opportunity to engage in our usual "fight practice" if unconcerned with
the principal activity named above. Based on prior statements made by Pat
Keleher, who likewise facilitates SCA- Style Historic Fencing, this coming
Sunday (October 31, 2010) will be a meeting at which they he makes an
appearance, as instruction in the said bellicose art was to tentatively
occur every two weeks, but the availability of Historic Fencing for this
week is not definite at present.

C] Current List of Approved SCA Heavy Combat/Historic Fencing Participants...

Style Historic Fencing at the beginning of the Geneseo Medieval Club

D] Items of Club Business Requiring Resolution

The Club membership needs to come to consensus on the following items:

1. The details of any trip to Rochester, as will be led and organized by
Student Member Rachel McGee, as undertaken with the intent to perform
longbow archery at RIT;

2. The details of any armoring sessions, as will be led and organized by
Club Vice- President Student Member Robert Mayville, as undertaken with
the intent to fabricate new industrial- strength plastic armor for Club
SCA Heavy Combat participants;

3. Whether or not Club information including, but not limited to, meeting
times, a description of our activities as posted on the Info tab under our
Facebook page, etc. should be added to the Geneseo Club Exchange Facebook
page to attract broader attention for the meeting which will be held on
November 7, 2010.

Best regards,

Chris Pursel
Secretary, G.M.C.
