[Musicfaculty-l] NB - Meeting April 4

Hi, all.

I learned today that Gloria Lopez has been able to free up her schedule 
in order to attend tomorrow's meeting after all. Since it is required 
that she meet with us regarding the Theory search, we will go ahead with 
having her attend the meeting. I regret the short notice on this, but it 
is better that we meet with her sooner than later, so that we can all be 
apprised of our process and respective roles in the search process. 
Gloria has indicated that her usually presentation takes about an hour; 
I have asked her to compress a little bit if at all possible, so that we 
can cover the other agenda items, as attached.

The other timely item we need to cover tomorrow is the determination of 
scholarships for 2012-2013. Later today, Tammy will be sending to each 
of you a scanned version of each of the applications; please take some 
time between then and tomorrow's meeting time to review the 
applications, so that our discussion can be expedited during the time we 
will have left after Gloria's presentation. If you could determine in 
your own mind some type of rank ordering, that would speed the process 
up. We will bring a hard copy or two of the applications, as well as 
academic histories of each of the students and a ballot (should we 
decide to use it).
