[Workflowtoolkit-l] Writing routing rules and match strings

Eric,

I used email routing for recalls and denied renewals. I created an email
letting the patron know that the book has been recalled or the renewal
request has been denied. Once I send the email the request goes
automatically to "Checked out by Customer." The email routing table for
renewal denied looks like this:

Process Type: Borrowing

Name: Renewal Denied

Default to Address

Default to Name

Default to cc address

Default Subject: ILL Renewal Denied

Default from address: Your ILL email address

Default From Name: Boca ILL

Default Status: Checked out to Customer

File Name Loan: norenu.txt

File Name Article:

I did this a long time ago, but quite sure I did not come up with it on my
own. I probably got it from the IDS Workflow Toolkit.

Subject: [Workflowtoolkit-l] Writing routing rules and match strings

Hello all,

We're relatively new to ILLiad 8, and to writing routing rules and match
strings. When our borrowing staff sends out a recall or renewal denied
notice to a patron, they cancel the request, and then manually route it back
to "Checked Out to Customer." I'm trying to write a routing rule that
routes the cancelled request directly to checked out:

Rule Number 5

Rule Active Yes

Process Type Borrowing

Transaction Status Cancelled by ILL Staff

Match String t. Username = 'WTU' and t. Reason for Cancellation =
'RECALLED'

New Process Type Borrowing

New Transaction Status Checked Out to Customer

Rule Description Routes recalled items from Cancelled by ILL
Staff to Checked Out to Customer

My question is, would this rule/match string work? I know that single
quotes must be used, but are there rules for spacing and punctuation as
well? Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric
