[Workflowtoolkit-l] bug in ILLiad 8?

I'm having a consistent problem with printing merge forms without viewing
them first if Word is already open when the print command is issued. Instead
of printing, ILLiad issues an error message saying it can't find a *.tmp
file, then tries to open the merge form in Word. At that point the forms,
all of which are still linked to the old 7.4 *.dbf files, start to open and
try to link to their data files. Since 8.0 puts the data in a *.xls file
residing in a completely different location, the merge document reports that
there is no data in the data files. The merge document then opens. At the
same time, 3 layered error boxes open in Word, though not in the foreground.
The final error box references an inability to write to an Endnote Word
template file (Endnote Cwyw.dotm) that doesn't exist anywhere on my pc or
networked drives. Closing the merge document followed by the closing the
error boxes _appears_ to close Word, but actually leaves the Winword.exe
process running in the background. If this happens several times in a row,
it leaves several instances of the Winword.exe process running. The computer
then can't be logged off or shut down until each of those instances is
stopped in the Task Manager, or explicitly in response to prompts during
shut down.

I know that I can save the merge forms to look for date in the 8.0 *.xls
files, rather than the 7.4 *.dbf files, and simply never again use those
forms in 7.4. What I want to know is, 1) is anyone else having this problem,
and 2) if so, did relinking the files fix it, or is is a symptom of a larger
problem? I truly don't want to have to close Word every time I might have to
print from ILLiad, nor do I want to spend time relinking all the forms if it
doesn't solve the problem.
