[Workflowtoolkit-l] difference in templates?

We're not self-hosted, so your mileage may vary. One of the changes with the move to 8.1 is that the default location for both templates and their linked data files is c:\program files\illiad\print\. In my experience, even after using the customization manager to look at our network drive for the templates, the data files are still written to c. To make things even more complicated, there are also some points in which they've apparently hard-coded the program to look only in the print directory on c for the template (notably, for PrintRequest.doc). Furthermore, the ability to access these files requires the user to have administrative access, since they're in the program files directory (at least, that's apparently the case with a standard installation of Win 7). Our library IT staff have locked us out of being able to write anything anywhere on c, not just the program files, so they've had to grant each person using ILLiad special admin access to c:\program files\illiad\. Because I also do computer support, I have a local admin account that I've been using on my own pc. It gets complicated because that account has no rights to our network, so I've had to keep updated copies of all the templates on c while using that local account. (Have I made it sound too complicated yet?)

In short, in my experience, you can fix some of it, but not all of it.

Well, sure I could do that-but I'd much rather have my templates on the server and have the most current copy *there* and accessible to everyone who uses ILLiad so I don't have to re-distribute them to 6 workstations every time I make a small change. Is this no longer possible?

We are also self-hosted and I was having the same problem at one point.
I had to copy the newer template to the students' computers c/Illiad/print folder.
Our ILLiad pulls the template from the local computer.
That worked for me.

I'm stumped. We have our ILLiad print templates on our server (we're self-hosted) and our print documents path points toward the server.

However, when my students print from their computer, the LendingArticleSlips they are printing is an old, unedited version of the template-not the one I've edited. Yet article slips printed from my workstation and other staff workstations print the edited/correct version of LendingArticleSlips.

Can anyone give me ideas of some things to check or test? We're on 8.1.4.0 and just upgraded to Windows7.

Thanks,
