Thanks Frank - I was able to clean up a bit more of our database so am glad I took the high road. However, this is good information for those who are thinking of changing to LDAP Authentication - have OCLC uncheck all of the ILLiad Authentication boxes for you!!

Cindy -
We switched to LDAP verification over the winter break. You should be able to have Atlas or OCLC (whoever provides your support) run a script to globally un-tick the ILLiad Authentication box in user records. Then, if needed, you can manually tick those where it's needed.

Thanks for the information, Heather. We were assured when we switched to LDAP that no one with the ILLiad Authentication would be allowed in the system. Well, that is obviously not the case. All the fun during this spring break!

Is the ILLiad Authentication checkbox checked in her ILLiad record? If so, that would allow her to log in with her old ILLiad credentials.

We use LDAP Authentication (and have for years now) but one of our extension faculty logged in with her very old ILLiad Auth username and password. I have checked the database itself and she is listed with our site (not one of our branch campuses) so should not have been able to use this username and password to access anything. I have checked and double-checked everything - nothing has changed but yet she requested an article successfully. I cannot even begin to understand the why of this but has anyone else seen anything similar lately? We are hosted and are currently using version 8.1 --
